Nursery

Well waddaya know, on friday just before we left on our ski trip we received a letter offering us a place in the nursery at Silje's work....yes indeed! The letter didn't mention any start date but we are assuming (probably wrongly) that it might be sometime in April. We have returned all the necessary paperwork now so we'll just have to wait and see what they say.

In the mean time this was the week i had to return to work and the week that we had to find a solution to our baby minding problem.
So we have teamed up with two other families from Maud's baby group who also haven't managed to get proper nursery places and formed our own private nursery group.
Maud, Martinus and Oskar will from now on be spending their days together playing, eating and sleeping.
We are based at Martius's pad as he is the only one with a flat on the ground floor.
So i'm only back at work 60% and the other 2 days i spend looking after the kids. The remaining 3 days it's the turn of Julie (Martinus's mum) and Kaja (Oskar's mum) to take turns doing baby watch duty.

I got to take the first day this week but thankfully i wasn't dropped straight in at the deep end as it was just Maud and Martinus who were there and i only had to do half a day too.

Everything went according to plan apart from the sleeping, which wasn't unexpected, but i'm sure they will get used to it in time.

So two one year olds i managed no problemo. I'll report back on how it goes with all three later in the week.

My first day back at work today in over 6 months wasn't as traumatic as i had imaginged either, it wasn't as enjoyable as looking after Maud obviously, but i survived.

Maud checks out what Martinus has in his library.

Well are you gonna feed us or what?

I don't think we're going to get anything, what shall we do?

Come on feed us i'm 'this' hungry

Aggh, forget it, i'm phoning for a pizza
