Greens

Henny gets her first taste of greens, can't say she seemed all that impressed.

Do i have to eat this stuff for the rest of my life..?

Maybe this orange stuff will be better...

Porridge is always a winner.

and after the porridge...it's bathtime.

The Big 3 oh

Maud turned 3 and so began a few days of cake eating.
Birthday morning ready for a another day of nursery.

Back home again to open pressies.

Tradition dictates that the birthday celebratee takes a cake to share with everyone else at nursery, so Silje cooked up this little number, impressive eh. Kept them bouncing off the walls at nursery for a few hours.

The birthday girl also gets to wear the regulation nursery issue birthday crown all day too. Mightily impressive.

Party pants

Saturday saw the real deal birthday party, hot dogs followed by cake.
Oh,, and more present opening too.

and finally

Today was the final day of celebration and involved much of the same as the other days, not that Maud was complaining.

Another helping of cake and presents.

Sit-ups

Henny continued her sitting practice and staged a sit in that convinced us that she was ready for the next stage.

new eating perch...

doesn't make the food go down any easier though.

Had an absolute ton of snow this year which is all bearable (just) when the temperature stays sub-zero as it has but when it starts to thaw uggg, going to be slushy for days on end.

really moving

I was left in charge on saturday while silje went skiing, so i fed maud jaffa cakes for breakfast... this is the result.
Wind her up and watch her go.
I offered Henny a stunt double but she refused and was even good enough to sleep through the whole warp speed experience.

not always so easy pushing or dragging the pram around though.

Bet you thought i wouldn't manage it eh??

Wow weeks go fast don't they, having promised that i would have at least one update per week here we are already.

So here we have teeth, very sharp ones too, bit of a fuzzy pic but holding her mouth open, tongue out of the way and holding the camera isn't so easy. This is taken a few days ago they have grown quite a bit since.

Siiting is almost mastered to, we were looking back through the blog and saw that Maud was sitting in her high chair at six months, so thought we should better get on training Henny a bit too. Not quite mastered yet, hence the super bloated cushions.

If i could just get this crunchy butterfly to my mouth...

aha yes ...

Uggghh heavier than i thought.

Winter visitors

A recent, feed the addiction for grandchildren visit, by Mormor and Morfar had something for everyone.
Matching summer dresses from super knitter Mormor...thank you.
Egil wouldn't wear his.

Snow and sunshine...

and playing in Mauds ever increasing mound of toys...venture into her room and you almost can't find the door out again.

Cold as ice

I planned to hibernate the whole winter but it just got too cold to sleep anymore.
Brass monkeys over here atm, whole flippin city is covered in 50cm of snow and it's seriously cold so cold it freezes biodiesel , but tht's another story... grrrr
So we're still here doing our thing, minding our ouwn business, watching my life whizz past in a blizzard.

So where to start, i've been a bad blogger, but i can't say that my fellow bloggers have been doing much to get my blog mojo back either, what has happened to us all?? Time for some serious improvement, from now on there'll be one blog a week minimum of I&I or your money back.

Blimey, i feel the need to repent but i'm not sure i know how to make things good again. does this help?

blogged down

Some stuff to update you all on, but i'm pretty sure you know that i know that, if you know what i mean.
Now back in the day we all thought Maud was a little ray of sunshine, which indeed she was, we couldn't believe our luck, pretty much happy all the time, never thought it'd happen again, but waddaya know, Henny is the ultimate smilie baby. Growing like a goodun it seems like her first month of pain never really happened, all systems are go and i'm addicted. So it's a good thing i'll soon be starting my paternity leave, not so as full on, full time, at home dad as it was with Maud but a more sedate 2 days a week at home 3 days at work for about 15 weeks.

Henny now has 2 teeth, she can roll over, has started eating porridge and talks a lot. She is completely in awe of her big sister...

The Maudster, soon to be 3, very caring big sister who recenly had her first iceskating lesson, luckily for her not from me.

Carousel

Had a super sickness session a few weeks ago which pretty much managed to get a grip on all of us at one point or another, a whole week sitting on the carousel of sickness made for a no fun week, even Henny wasn't smiling, thats how bad it was. If that was my first encounter with the flu then I never want it to visit us again.
