Faster than a speeding bullet

We are off on our holidays tomorrow but instead of staying at home doing boring old packing me and Maud went out to cruise around town.
A huge success.
I had only really expected that we would take a quick ride around the block but Maud loved her new transport.

Maud, imaptient to get moving, gives it some throttle.

Edit: You'll have to bear with the Vimeo team until they get their upgrade fully sorted....the video does work.

Clothes with pockets

Maud has discovered the joy of pockets. Doesn't have any in her PJs but slip on a sleeveless fleece and a whole new world opens up.

By the way it is Maud herself who chooses to look like some psychedelic street urchin from the cast of oliver, between getting out of bed going to the bathroom and the 4 steps through the hallway to the kitchen she amasses hats, jackets, socks and sometimes shoes of all descriptions that, when put on, magically keep her the happy well balanced individual that she is.

Catalogue poses

She has the poses down to a fine art, sadly the clothing collection leaves something to be desired.

At the drive in

Phhhhffffff.
I've been on the verge of getting death threats i'm sure...people want blogging and they think i'm just going through my super lazy peroid, well no i'm not - i have excuses i mean reasons....
Maud and Silje have been down in Flekkefjord for a week and i've been busy doing some more decorating.... what....not a good enough excuse for not blogging....erm well OK......the Norwegian footy season is in full swing, the sun is shining and i've been driving my car, i'm trying to finish a project at work before the summer hols begin and the clincher.... we now have Discovery channel. So you can blame the Mythbusters.

Maud parks her transport as close to the table as possible and eats.....

Ooooooohhh...that looks good.

I want that bit

Hmmmm.....

Shuzze

Now i'm only gonna say this once pappa...
Get your shuuze on 'cos were going out to play.

Please.

The cup of plenty

The spouty cup has been shunned - Maud's new cup of plenty makes her happy.

Rice cake challenge

Right just position this camera on me....like so.....

OK, i've got my new eating hat on.... i'm ready
I will now proceed to stuff my face with as many rice cakes as i can in 1 minute...

Umm, how many seconds have gone so far, we might have to call it off.....

I think i got some stuck in my throat

Hit the road

The good weather means the Austin is out of the workshop despite not being completely back together again yet, a missing back bumper isn't going to stop me and it absence probably saves a load of petrol too as it weighs about 100kg.

I have a new bike, must be some kind of mid life crisis... i've gone for a real sensible grandad looking thing, full mud guards and a bell, more likely not to get stolen and the perfect thing for Maud's new handlebar mounted bike seat that we picked up while we were in Amsterdam earlier this year. Not tried it with Maud yet but i have a feeling she's going to like it.

Déjà vu......

Déjà vu......
we've been here before, we really have. Time, it just whizzes by like never before, i've not blogged for ages and i'm feeling guilty, especially as my Uncle Pete is now blogging like a demon at the moment and putting my lazyness to shame.... Pah.
The really odd thing is i can cite the same reason for not blogging as Mr. Gladwell.
Lots of behind the scenes activity at castle Conibear/Tjorteland in recent weeks as we too are on the move. The contract on a new flat was signed last week so i can now officially announce that we are moving 15 minutes up the road (walking time that is) to a part of town called Ensjø.
As of April next year we will be living here.
Ours is flat number A 501
It is a new building project and not even half built yet so if you're really keen you can watch it being built live as it happens too.
Me being me i'm also making sure i visit the building site every week to take some progress shots, these i'll be putting in a web album so if your really lost for something to do and need a time killer this is for you.

Little miss M

Busy times in Maud's life too, she now understands a lot of the stuff we say to her in both Norwegian and English, her favourite word to say at the moment is probably 'shoes' although this does change according to what's buzzing around inside her little head on any particular day.

A visit from Grandma and uncle Tim was on the time plan last week and Maud enjoyed every last second of the extra attention.....Ooh and presents help too, is there anything better in life than a new Dr. Seuss book and crinkly wrapping paper to sit on?
Well is there?

Maud looking decidedly sleepy after just surfacing from her midday snooze, following in her auntie Sarah's footsteps by always waking up with bed head too.

Leg it

As showcased here in a previous post Maud is now motoring around in an upright position but this doesn't mean that she can't enjoy getting a helping hand from mamma and pappa every now and again.

Summer season

After a decidedly wet last few days summer well and truly landed upon us today, bright clear blue sky and a big fat shining sun.
What else is there to do on a day that this but don you summer shorts and get on the phone your fiends to invite them to the park.

Not forgetting to leave time to read one of your many animal books obviously.

Maud doesn't care about watching her figure, once at the park ice cream eating and drinking is the order of the day
