Special day

17th of May and that can only mean one thing, well OK two, Auntie Sarah's birthday and erm, Norway's national day.
Happy Birthday auntie Sarah.

Auntie Sarah's birthday means flag waving and parades in Oslo.

Progress

We saw the first few days of shaky walking about 10 days ago, progress is fast at this age and now walking is where it's at.

Go Maud go.

Filling up

Maud's mouth is slowly but surely filling up with some very useful teeth and as promised here is a view inside, not the best photo but check out these man size molars.

The gang take a break form play and pose for a quick snap.

and then there were 12

Teeth that is.

Wait for ages and nothing - suddenly 4 come along at once.
Maud has molars!
4 huge great jagged food crushing molars just like that.

We thought that supper time would be an ideal opportunity to get her to show them off to the world, come on Maud give us a smile......

erm, no.

OK we'll just have to wait.

Walking the walk

we have lift off

Stair creeper

Maud loves stairs, just listen to her humming and singing while climbing these at the park.

According to uncle Tim ...."stairs are fun... but they are not a playground... i seem to remember that phrase from my childhood"

Puh...were our parents right, or am i just me being irresponsible??......
dunno.....
but watch this clip and you'll see that i have to turn the camera off sharpish before Maud launches herself off onto the rope bridge at the other end. hehehe.

Ham

No nursery the last couple of days due to both Oskar and Martinus being ill so back to a well tried and tested routine for me and Maud.

Maud hamming it up while eating her lunch.

Lunch today was one of my own fine concoctions - yesterdays leftover pasta (cold), grapes, papaya (which didn't really find taste approval with your ladyship) and ham which you can see from the picture she ate up first.

It has been blazing hot here the last few days so after lunch and a snooze it was off out to, yes you guessed it, the playground.

Mega bedhead

Maud at breakfast a few days ago showing off her mega bedhead.

The stair challenge

Maud now likes to tackle the four flights of stairs up to our flat by herself. Yesterday she concentrated on the task and made it all the way up without stopping....... today was a different matter.
Is it any wonder i don't have much time to blog anymore?

This video is just over 4 minutes long, so it's only for those really dedicated Maud fans out there.

She seems to love the echo in the stairs so you might want to turn your sound down too.

Disappearing photos

Regular visitors will have noticed a distinct lack of photographs way back until 17th february! Not my doing - somebody at blogger has messed up. Kindly worded emails to the support team fall on deaf ears and yield no response, it can be fixed by them very easily and very quickly but it doesn't seem like that is going to happen any day soon. I can fix it....just that it's going to take me time.
I'll try and restore the photos as and when i get the opportunity.

1st of May today, that means a bank holiday for us ...Wooohoooo, not that i'm at work that much anyway i know.

Lazy breakfast today and Maud '2 bibs' poses for piccies on the kitchen window ledge.

Can be dangerous eating breakfast...you just never know what's going to happen.

Playground

This is the place where i spend a good few hours of my time at the moment. If the weather is OK in the afternoons we more often than not end up here and a sunny May day bank holiday means the local playground is absolutely stacked with kids and parents. Maud still isn't up to walking around under her own steam yet so she spends most of her time poking about in the sandpit carefully picking out all the small stones and rubbish, of which there is plenty. Some small stones are tasted and spat out the rest is given to me to dispose of.

Maud parks herself in the middle of the sandpit and 'borrows' somebodies bucket and spade.

Maud overjoyed at the thought of another hour trawling for stones.
